About the Recipe
Welcome to our kitchen, where we're always experimenting with new flavors and fresh ingredients! We're excited to present a classic Indian dish with a nutritious twist: Paneer Tikka with Microgreens. Paneer, also known as Indian cottage cheese, is marinated in a flavorful blend of spices and yogurt, then grilled to perfection. What sets this dish apart is the addition of assorted microgreens, adding a burst of freshness and nutrition to every bite.
Ingredients
250g paneer (Indian cottage cheese) -
cut into cubes
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
1 cup assorted microgreens (such as radish, mustard, or peas)
1 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 tablespoons oil
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to create the marinade. (Add Microgreens paste to the marinade if you want to sneak in Microgreens to kids)
Step 2
Add the paneer cubes to the marinade, making sure they are evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer cubes and cook until they are golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 4
In the same pan, add the diced onion and bell pepper. Cook until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 5
Add the cooked paneer cubes back to the pan with the onions and bell peppers. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Turn off the heat and garnish with assorted microgreens over the paneer tikka.
Step 7
Serve hot as a delicious appetizer or as a side dish with naan or pulav.
Enjoy your flavorful paneer tikka with a nutritious twist of microgreens!
